Doctolib: un'utile risorsa per trovare un medico a Parigi (e in tutta la Francia!)

Oggi voglio parlavi di questa utilissima risorsa francese per trovare facilmente un dottore a Parigi (o in altre zone della Francia): doctolib.fr
Come ben saprete, mi sono trasferita da poco in Francia e OVVIAMENTE dovevo iniziare a stare male a soli due mesi dal mio arrivo, quando ancora non ho l'assicurazione sanitaria e non parlo francese (com'è facile a volte la vita eh?). Inizialmente temevo di dover chiamare tutti i dottori della zona per beccarne uno che sapesse parlare inglese, ma poi ho scoperto Doctolib e ho tirato un sospiro di sollievo!

In pratica si tratta di un database di dottori divisi per specialità. Tutto quello che dovrete fare è inserire la tipologia di medico che state cercando (medico di base, cardiologo, etc ), la città, cliccare su Rechercher...

 e voilà: avrete la lista dei dottori disponibili con le relative localizzazioni su una mappa!

La cosa più interessante sta nel fatto che non si tratta di un mero elenco di dottori: ogni medico ha la sua pagina personale nella quale potreste trovare informazioni molto utili come le lingue parlate (ottimo se state cercando un dottore che parli inglese), il costo di una visita ed il tipo di convenzione! Potete anche eventualmente prenotare la visita online controllando la disponibiltà del curante e prenotando uno slot libero (dovrete creare un profilo, ma è un operazione facilissima anche se il sito è in francese).

Ultima chicca: oltre al sito web è disponibile anche l'app per smartphone ed è gratuita (io  uso praticamente solo quella!)

Doctolib: a useful resource for finding your doctor in Paris (and in France)

Today I want to talk about a really useful resource that I discovered some weeks ago: doctolib.fr
 I just arrived in France and, OBVIOUSLY, I started to feel really sick and I needed a GP even if I don't speak french (and you probably know how happy are french people about speaking in English...).
At the beginning, I was afraid of calling all the doctors for finding an English speaking one, but I discovered Doctolib and things went better :)

Doctolib is a database of French doctors: all you need is to insert the kind of doctor you are looking for (cardiologist, general practitioner, etc etc), your address, click on Rechercher...

and voilà: you obtain the list all the doctors in your selected area (you can also look at their localization on the map).

Doctolib is not simply a list of doctors: each doctor has a personal page where you could find useful information like languages spoken (perfect if you are looking for an English speaking doctor!), prize of a consultation, and type of convention. In most of the cases, is also possible to book a visit directly online!

Certificato di nascita plurilingue: cos'è e dove trovarlo

Se decidete di trasferivi o di spendere un periodo considerevole all'estero il vostro futuro paese potrebbe richiedervi un certificato di nascita plurilingue. Cos'è? Quanto costa? Dove si può ottenere?

Anche se tra poco scoprirete che si tratta di una cosa semplicissima, ho visto tantissime persone andare in panico per questo documento!

Il certificato di nascita plurilingue è semplicemente un documento che attesta la vostra nascita scritto in più lingue che viene accettato (senza necessità di traduzione o legalizzazione) da tutti i paesi che hanno adetiro alla convenzione di Vienna dell'8 Settembre 1976 (link al sito della prefettura italiana con un elenco dei paesi aderenti -> click)

Questo documento si richiede gratuitamente presso il vostro comune di nascita e potrebbe servire per alcune pratiche burocratiche del paese estero dove vi state per trasferire o dove vivete (iscrizione al comune, matrimonio etc etc).

Quindi, se ad esempio andate in Francia e vi richiedono un documento di nascita che valga anche in territorio francese, non fate il grandissimo errore di far tradurre il vostro certificato italiano da un traduttore giurato (operazione che ha anche un certo costo oltre a farvi perdere tempo): andate al vostro comune e richiete semplicemente il modello plurilingue!

Nella mia esperienza ho dovuto presentare questo documento in due occasioni:

1. Registrazione al comune di Maastricht, in Olanda.
2. Richiesta dell'assicurazione medica, in Francia.

Come vedete, quindi, ha una certa utilità ma fortunatamente non è difficile da ottenere! 

E come fare se non siete in Italia, vi siete già trasferiti e non avete nessuno che può passare al comune al posto vostro? Niente panico! Consultate il sito internet del vostro comune: molte volte, infatti, viene offerto un servizio di spedizione del certificato via e-mail!

SOS doctor in the Netherlands! My experience in Maastricht

Feeling not so good in a foreign country (especially if you are just arrived or you are a tourist) could a be a not so lovely experience and you can start having questions like:

Where can I find a doctor?
Will the doctor speak English?
Is the hospital the best option?

Everything is new and, even if finding a proper doctor in the Netherlands is not so hard, everything could seem complicated because maybe you don't feel exactly good!

For people living in the Netherlands, a private health insurance is mandatory. But what if you are simple a turist or an Erasmus?
During my permanence in Maastricht I went a couple of time to GP and now I want share with you my experience as european citizen in the Netherlands!

NB: if it's really an emergency remember to call the european emergency number 112, please!

The first good news is that in the Netherlands there are many english speaking people including the doctors.  A friend of mine that lives in Amsterdam has an English speaking GP and even in a not so big city like Maastricht I've found an English speaking doctor without any problem.

I my case I aways anticipate the money for the doctor and for the medicine (and I asked for the rembursment in italy). So, remember to take always all the bills!!!

However, if you need a GP you have two alternatives: go to the hospital or searching on Internet :)

Hospital
This could be the most obvious solution: you can go to the emergency and ask for a family doctor. I remember that this option was really expensive. I've checked the price of a hospital near my house and the cost of a visit was about 80 euros!!

Search for a doctor on internet
Google can be really your friend if you need a doctor! The word general practitioner can be translated in dutch as "huisarts", so looking for huishart plus the name of the street and the city where you live, can help to find a doctor in your area. Once you found the nearest one just call, explain you problem an book an appointment. The consult is cheaper that the hospital.

My experience
Why I needed a doctor? What happened? One day I got a terrible cystitis and I was really bad...
I searched on google one GP and I booked an appointment with the secretary, that was really kind and helpful! One hour later I was in the studio of the doctor :)
They gave a test for verifying the infection and they prescribed me drugs. In the building of the doctor there was also a pharmacy: the secretary just sent my prescription and I just retired my medicine on the ground floor after the visit! I paid around 27 euros plus the cost of the medicine.
I returned to the doctor other times for a checkup and in general I had a really good experience!

SOS dottore! La mia esperienza a Maastricht.

Spesso quando si parte per una vacanza o per un periodo temporaneo all'estero non si ci preoccupa molto d'informarsi su come contattare un medico in caso bisogno! E se ci viene l'influenza? E se mangiamo troppo e ci sentiamo male?

Vi racconterò ora la mia esperienza con i dottori olandesi.

La prima cosa che dovete sempre tenere a mente è quella di chiamare il 112 (numero europeo per emergenze) in caso stiate davvero male.

Per quanto riguarda il medico di base dovete sapere che per le persone che vivono in Olanda c'è bisogno di un'assicurazione sanitaria privata: cosa che voi, da turisti o erasmus, ovviamente non avete. E quindi? Cosa è possibile fare?

La prima buona notizia è che gli olandesi hanno un ottimo livello d'inglese e quindi non dovrebbe essere troppo difficile trovare un dottore che parla anche inglese (non dovrete esprimervi a gesti!!). La seconda cosa che dovete sapere è che dovrete anticipare voi i soldi delle visite per poi richiedere il rimborso in italia (conservate tutte le ricevute!).

Per ottenere un consulto da un medico di base avete due possibilità: recarvi in ospedale oppure cercarne uno e prenotare un appuntamento.

Ospedale

Andare in ospedale potrebbe sembravi la cosa più scontata. Se andate nel reparto emergenze potrete chiedere informazioni riguardo gli orari di un medico di base: tenete conto che questa è l'alternativa più cara. Mi ricordo che il prezzo per un consulto era di 80 euro circa.

Cercare un dottore per conto vostro

L'espressione medico di base può essere tradotta in olandese con il termine 'huisarts'. Munitevi del vostro fidato Google e cercate huishart unito alla città e alla strada dove vivete. Dovreste trovare senza problemi una lista di dottori disponibili: chiamate, fate presente che non avete un'assicurazione privata e spiegate la vostra situazione. Le visite del medico di base costano di meno: io ho pagato attorno ai 27 euro più il costo delle medicine per la cura.

La mia esperienza

Perchè ho avuto bisogno di andare da un medico? Purtroppo un bel giorno mi è venuto un fortissimo attacco di cistite e stavo malissimo! Ho cercato quindi un medico su Google (con le modalità che vi ho spiegato prima) e ho chiamato.

La segretaria è stata molto gentile, ha ascoltato il mio problema e mi ha dato un appuntamento in 1 ora.

Arrivata lì mi è stato fatto un test per verificare l'infezione e mi è stata prescritta la cura. Non ho neanche avuto bisogno di passare in una farmacia perchè lo studio del medico si trovava in una struttura con farmacia annessa, la segretaria ha semplicemente trasferito la prescrizione al piano inferiore e ho ritirato il farmaco dopo la visita! Veramente efficienti!
